Magnetic Decals

Driver Skill and a fast car are all fine and good, but what really makes the difference at the end of the day is pretend sponsors and lots of friggin decals. Actually, I've found that if you write to most compnays, tell them you race and emphasize that you couldn't do it without their product, they'll send you nice stickers and sometimes even a catalog or something else cool. High praise to Kumho Tire and Comptech USA for really hooking me up, Kumho sent two sets of really big nice decals, packed in a BOX, and Comptech sent me a full set of 3-sized silver decals and one of their fly catalogs.

UPDATE: New rules in the area asked for 8-inch numbers and 4-inch letters, so I busted out the ever-decreasing roll of magnetic sheeting and cut some new digits...but rather than put metal ducting tape on them as I had done in the past, I upgraded to spray-on vynal color, called Plasti-Kote (available at pepboys). This stuff comes in many colors, and bonds to vynal, which is what the black layer on the magnetic sheeting is. It doesn't warp or crack as the magnet bends, and seems alot more permanent than tape. Also, bigger numbers look cooler.
