Kyokugen Lightweight Lugnuts

With the Volks on the way and the tires already here, it was time to think about getting the wheels to stay on the car. I needed a tapered lug, and wanted black, perferably lightweight. Spoon lugs are super-light, but cost alot ($120) and don't come in black. Volk lugs are also super-light, but cost even more, and it takes a month to get them. When I was talking to the guys at Upgrade Motoring in California about Volk lugs, they told me they'd just shipped their last set, but they did have something new that was in black, was lightweight, and cost only $60 bucks for a 5-lug set. Can't beat that! Have't mounted them yet, but they are pretty light, look like they have a decent black finish, and every lug is Heptagonal, so it's like having nothing but locks. I'll elaborate when they're on the car.

UPDATE: I used these for most of the summer, and i was just getting sick of using the key all the time, switching back and forth between regular lugnuts and these...it made autocross changes annoying to say the least. I decided to start using the slightly heavier (although beefier) lugs that came with the Volks. They're the same size hex as my other lugs, so no more bouncing the key around tools...i'll paint the stock lugs black this winter. I'd say Kyokugens are fine if you leave your wheels on all the time, i had no problems with them functionally, but the hassle of removal etc. didn't thrill me. SOLD.
