OEM Acura Cruise Control

Oh jesus..... i thought this was going to be an easy install. Fuq dat. price was worth it though, i grabbed 2 entire sets of cruise control from Import Auto Salvage, very reasonable price

here's what you're going to need if you feel crazy and want to attempt the install on your ITR.

Cruise Actuator Unit (with actuator cable)
GSR/LS gas pedal assembly
Cruise Control brain
Cruise Control brain mounting bracket
Cruise Control main switch
Cruise Control clutch switch
Brake switch from GSR/LS (ie, car equipped with CC) - not absolutly necessary, but will be for OEM wiring
Steering Wheel Cable Reel from GSR/LS (note: SRS wiring changed post 97, so unless you have a 97 ITR, you'll need a 98+ cable reel)
Set/Resume Steering wheel switches (including plastic cover)
Under hood dual Cable bracket (from a older civic SI)
Misc mounting hardware and terminal connections from each switch.

Gas Pedal - GSR/LS assembly on left. ITR assembly on right

Remove (ie drill out spot welds) gas pedal actuator from both the GSR/LS brake/gas pedal bracket and the ITR brake/gas bracket. or, if you're lucky, swap the entire ITR assembly out and replace with GSR assembly. It's very tight in there though, steering column is really in the way.

here's a little detail

the bottom hole is the spot weld that was drilled out, with the new gas pedal assembly mounted on the existing brake/gas pedal bracket, the spot welds were replaced by bolts and lock washers.

Also shown is the small spot weld on the side that was drilled out.(above)

and installed, it pretty much looks like what you'd find under the dash of a integra equiped with cruise control except for the small bolt that appears where there prevoiusly was a spot weld.
but plan on laying on your floorboard like this for a while...

Wiring harness prior to install in car

New cable reel

quick comparison between the ITR cable reel and cruise control enabled cable reel.

Cruise control brain bracket

total pain in the ass to get the top bolt in.

Cruise Brain finally mounted. That big wire loom fights everything you try to do.

wiring up the actuator

Install new clutch switch

fab a bracket to hold the new cruise main switch

stealth install of said bracket

oem set/resume switches (sorry bout the glare)

Everything is installed and working properly, except for the indicator light in the gauge cluster... still working on finding one tiny part to get that operational. Scott's car is next, going to make him do all the bitch work this time.
