North Hills has experienced a population explosion...there are TONS of people running here this year, and it makes for a long day. There were quite a few Type Rs in attendance, the usual suspects (Yos, Mark and Shawn). Shawn had a good first run, but it was discovered that his inspection had run out and therefore the car was not legal to run. I overheard the conversation and when they told him he couldn't run the car anymore, I offered to let him co-drive my car....and hey, while we're at it, why don't we use your super-sticky Hoosiers? So shawn got a car to beat on, and i got someone elses really nice tires to abuse. Hoosiers are really phenomenal tires...in part i think the fact that all my runs on kumhos to this point had been in the rain, but the grip offered by the hoosiers was infreakingcredible...and they're so light it's comical. Getting the knack took a few runs, but on my last run I was able to drop a large chunk of time and snipe Andy (finally back in his CRX) for the lead in CSP. The in-car video of Shawn contained some amusing comments about his difficulty reaching the pedals (my seat is very much fixed, so those shorter than about 6 feet start having trouble.) Once again, you can check out the tale of the tape, with both my and Shawn's fastest runs. Thanks again for the hoosier-use Shawn, anytime you wanna use your tires on my car I'm game! :)
